Aliza Bixon

It’s not often that one can find a silver lining in a serious back injury. But for Aliza Bixon, she not only found a silver lining, but a whole new life path. Following back surgery in 2006, the lifelong dancer and choreographer stumbled upon Pilates as part of her physical therapy rehabilitation program. Amazed and inspired by the benefits it provided her body, Aliza’s back injury ultimately led her to a career in Pilates and a mission to bring the exercise to the community.

Alison Harmon

Alison Harmon is a native of Miami. She has been practicing both Yoga and Pilates since 2004 and loved the changes she noticed in the way her body looked and felt. In 2007, she became a licensed massage therapist and feels that just as we exercise and eat healthy to take care of our bodies, so too should we get regular massages. She is current member of the AMTA. In 2008, Alison decided to further her education through a Pilates certification with Polestar education.

Amarilys Beltran

Amarilys also known as Amy, was born and raised in sunny South Florida. She is currently pursing her Bachelor’s of Science in Mass Communications/Journalism at Florida International University. Amy hopes to become a photojournalist upon graduation. As the studio manager, making clients happy is her first priority. Aside from being part of the POTB family, she is a photographer and fashion blogger.

Maria Risolia

Maria, a Miami native, was introduced to Pilates while in the dance program of the University of Florida 17 years ago. Maria has been a certified POLESTAR Pilates Practitioner since 2003. She has been trained on all apparatus and is certified to teach individuals and group classes. She also holds certification in Mat Pilates through the Physical Mind and has completed advanced training in Women’s Health, Pilates for the Spine and Pilates for Pelvic Power.

Jote Kaur

Jote Kaur uses a heart-centered approach to teaching and pays particular attention to detail to make her classes enjoyable for all. Jote is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) with Yoga Alliance since 2008.

Rachel Romdhane

Rachel Romdhane first discovered the benefits of Pilates in 2005 at Temple University in Philadelphia where it was a part of the dance department curriculum. While at Temple University, Rachel studied Pilates on the apparatus under the private tutelage of David Seth Fink and mat Pilates under Jennifer Morley.

Shawn Epstein

Shawn Epstein is a licensed physical therapist and earned her degree from Saint Louis University in 2008. About three years ago, she started taking Pilates classes. As a client, Shawn saw how beneficial it was for preventing injury, rehabilitation, and overall fitness. Discovering the impact Pilates can have lead Shawn to get certified as an instructor with Power Pilates.
